We all know where this is going.
This appears to be a metaphor for current US domestic policy.

I thought it was a metaphor for how one should be prepared to do anything for a
Ciera. Because it’s not just about a little bit of money. It’s about a little bit of money and a Ciera.

One thing I realized when I was looking for Fargo gifs to post originally was just how much storytelling the Coens do with just people’s expressions and long looks. Something they certainly have in common with Leone, and something that plays really will with this kind of gif-posting game.

its amazing how much story telling they get done without having to say anything.
most of the kids that i know these days just dont have the attention span to appreciate a good staredown/ storytelling.........

I made two
gen-z younger siblings watch OUATITW nearly by force, but pointed things out as it played, and they both appreciated it a great deal.

its that attention span that kills........ i have tried to introduce some of my younger friends to interesting movies that i know, but they are mostly plot heavy, and if you quit paying attention for just a bit you are lost...... one i tried a while back was
they didnt make it 15 min into it. i was to say the least, disappointed in them........

Rubber may be garbage cinema that ends up defeating its own po-mo delusions, but it sure is traditionally shot well-produced garbage cinema.
...and speaking of garbage cinema that’s worth watching for its artistry, I finally got around to watching Wizards last night. Does it make me a pretentious twit that I recognized some of the rotoscoped scenes as being from Alexander Nevsky?
